Vameda GmbH acts as a holding company for equity investments in the healthcare sector. Our current holdings include companies from the development, manufacture and sale of over-the-counter drugs, nutritional supplements and medical products as well as from industry and related companies.
Our investment focus is on majority stakes in corresponding companies. At the same time, we continuously review risk capital commitments in early-stage start-ups as well as entering into joint ventures or other strategic alliances.
Vameda GmbH is run by experienced managers from the pharmaceutical, medical and cosmetic industries as well as the banking industry. We are experts in the international healthcare system and, thanks to our investments, have exclusive access to healthcare products with innovative technologies and processes from the microbiology, pharmaceuticals, and aerospace industries..
At the same time, we maintain a long-standing network based on personal relationships with buyers for pharmacies, mass markets and specialist wholesalers and thus enable the successful placement and orchestration of corresponding health products via all relevant sales channels.
Christian Strauch

Christian Strauch holds a degree in business administration and has a long-standing, proven track record of success in the strategic development and scaling of companies within the European healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. With his in-depth expertise in the e-health market, the pharmacy sector, and pharmaceutical wholesale, he drives innovative business models forward in a sustainable manner.
Career and Milestones
After earning a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Retail Management from the Universities of Greifswald and Hamburg, Christian Strauch played a key role in the success of the renowned mail-order pharmacy apo-rot for more than twelve years. As a member of the executive management team, he was responsible for the financial management of the mail-order business as well as the strategic partner management of the affiliated pharmacies. Following the company's acquisition by the Zur Rose Group (DocMorris), he successfully continued to manage the operations of apo-rot Service GmbH.
In the years that followed, he demonstrated his strong entrepreneurial mindset by founding and leading several successful healthcare and sales companies. These include the innovative consumer platform Linsentaxi, Pauls Praxis GmbH, and the strategic healthcare platform pharmedix GmbH.
Sven Zehender
COO
Sven Zehender holds a degree in Business Administration and is an experienced sales and process management expert with a proven track record in building and expanding B2B and B2B2C sales organizations. As a seasoned initiator and leader of strategic corporate projects, he combines extensive expertise in change management, digital transformation, and business development with a strong network across the European healthcare and financial sectors.
Career and Milestones
After earning his degree in Business Administration from the University of Hamburg, Sven Zehender laid the foundation for his career in the international banking and financial services industry. Among his key professional milestones was his role as Head of B2B Sales at the Raiffeisen Switzerland Group. He also served as Managing Director of DZ PRIVATBANK S.A. at its Frankfurt am Main branch, where he was responsible for the strategic leadership and operational excellence of complex business units. During this time, he successfully managed large-scale strategic projects with annual project budgets of up to €15 million.
Building on this strong background in financial strategy and process management, Sven Zehender successfully transitioned into executive leadership within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector. Working closely with Christian Strauch, he played a key role in developing the infrastructure and operational management of modern healthcare companies. His leadership positions include Chief Operating Officer at Vameda GmbH, an investment holding company, and Managing Director of pharmedix GmbH.
